What a great time you will have getting acquainted with the sure-footed, docile, enduring and good-natured Icelandic horse. Enjoy a 2 hour riding tour in the beauteful mountain aeria of the historical Mosfellsdalur vally only 15 minutes from Reykjavík. After the riding experience, you can have light lunch at Laxnes farm. After Coffee and tea you will be picked up by a bus and head to the national park, Þingvellir, esteemed for its unique geological features, natural beauty and importance it played in our country’s history. We will also see the ancient parliament, Alþingi, that was founded in 930 A.D. On our way to the impressive waterfall Gullfoss, time is spent visiting the geothermal area Geysir with its spouting hot springs. This tour takes us through fertile agricultural areas and we will stop for a photo stop at the symmetrical crater Kerið. We will also visit a greenhouse community, Hveragerði, where geothermal energy has been harnessed in greenhouses in which fruits, vegetables and plants are grown with ease. After a short drive, we will be back in the capital.
